Alex riding high in the 2006 Central Australian Bike Challenge

My older son Alex.
Landscape Gardener

Alex has orienteered since he was in primary school and was a good MTB rider so when MTB orienteering started he was w-a-a-a-y ahead of the rest.
He has represented Australia in all MTBO World Championships since they started in 2002; his best world ranking was at no.3.
Currently he's at the selections trial for this year's event which will be held in the Czech Republic. In the champs there are 3 separate events - short, medium and long. Yesterday's trial at Corryong was the short (or sprint) and despite a large error, he managed to take silver.
Alex is also an emerging force in road TT racing.
